Numbers 1–20 Flashcards
Counting is the first superpower in any language — prices, times, quantities and phone numbers all run on these twenty words. Pick your language — every deck is free to read and free to study with spaced repetition.
Why numbers unlock everything
Numbers are the most practical vocabulary in any language: prices, times, dates, phone numbers, addresses and quantities all run on them. The first twenty matter most — most European languages build every larger number from these pieces (twenty-one, twenty-two…), so master 1–20 and you effectively own the whole counting system. The decks above cover the same twenty numbers in six languages. A study tip: drill them out of order, not as a recited sequence — real life asks you for "seventeen" cold, never as the seventeenth item in a chant. Spaced repetition in random order builds exactly that instant recall.
Study them so they stick
Reading a word list once is recognition, not knowledge. Pick your language above, read through the deck, then save it to a free account and let spaced repetition schedule the reviews — a few minutes a day and the whole set moves into long-term memory. Curious how that works? Our guide to the spaced repetition algorithm explains it in plain English.
